Oenoteca Fine Wines is the trade name of A&N Fine Wines LLC, a federally licensed importer and Texas-licensed distributor specializing in fine and rare wines. Founded in 2023 by Niccolò Andrea Saltarelli and Andrea Graneris, Oenoteca serves restaurants, retailers, country clubs, and private collectors throughout Texas.
We buy in two ways, and they are the two halves of the house. The Excellence Portfolio comes straight from the twenty-three producers we represent, whose wines we import and carry to Texas ourselves. The Library comes from the secondary market, where the older and rarer bottles are, out of private collections, merchants and restaurants: around 2,400 references, 500 producers, vintages reaching back to 1863.
Provenance is verified either way, and it is what decides whether a bottle enters the portfolio. By handling importation and distribution under one roof, we minimize intermediaries and keep a direct line from the cellar a wine comes from to the collection it goes to.
Andrea leads our producer relationships and European sourcing, while Niccolò oversees the Texas market. Together, they connect exceptional wineries with a growing network of trade partners and private collectors across the state.
The founders
Niccolò Andrea Saltarelli
Co-founder & CEO
Niccolò was born in Milano and left early. Australia at eighteen, then Valais, where he took a BBA in Global Hospitality Management at Les Roches. Hotels and restaurants followed, from Switzerland to Malaysia by way of England and The Waterside Inn, one of the oldest three Michelin star kitchens in the country, before New York: food and beverage manager and wine director at Geoffrey Zakarian’s The National Bar and Dining Room, which earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in his first year.
In 2022 he moved to Texas for Ethica Wines, one of the leading importers of fine Italian wine in the United States, where he took the whole state for their portfolio alongside one of the top distributors in it. Certified Sommelier and Certified Sake Sommelier, he has been CEO since 2023.
He came to importing from the dining room, where a wine list is judged one bottle at a time. The aim has not changed since: to bring the best wines in the world to this market, and to have them arrive in the condition they left the cellar in.
Andrea Graneris
Co-founder & COO
Andrea started in wine at Eataly, on the wine side, in Torino, Roma, Milano and Chicago. Years as an export manager for Piemontese and Italian wineries followed, the unglamorous work of getting a small producer’s bottles out of the cellar and into a foreign market. In Italy he founded Enohance, a wine merchant house specializing in fine and rare wines, which he still owns and runs.
More than ten years in wine and WSET Level 3 certified, he has been COO since 2023. Most of the work is hunting: walking cellars across Italy and France, tasting across vintages. When a client asks for a bottle that is on no list, a vintage long sold out or a single cask, Andrea is the one who goes and finds it.
Most of the houses he brings over are too small for an importer to come looking for them. That is the point. Without someone who drives to the cellar and keeps going back, those wines never reach Texas at all.
